Ayurveda Post | October 2023
Namaste,
This October 10th marked World Mental Health Day, as communities worldwide come together to raise awareness and promote mental wellbeing for all. This year’s theme was ‘Make mental health for all a global priority.’ At CAYEIT, we recognize the growing urgency of addressing mental health, as disorders like depression and anxiety rise globally. On World Mental Health Day, we reaffirm our commitment to sharing India’s timeless wisdom on integrative mental healthcare. The holistic sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga offer natural solutions for lifestyle-rooted mental health disorders.
Ayurveda takes a broad view of health, emphasizing balance between mind, body, and spirit. Imbalances in the subtle energies of the mind can manifest as mental health issues according to Ayurvedic philosophy. Yogic practices are scientifically validated to reduce stress, anxiety and depression through self-regulation of the nervous system.
Integrative care calls us to blend the best of East and West. While modern medicine excels at acute treatment, Ayurveda and Yoga excel at lifestyle wisdom. On this Mental Health Day, we hope all will join us in marrying timeless traditions with new understanding. Mental wellbeing for all requires new vision.
Wish you a Happy Vijayadashami !
Warm Regards

The verse highlights the importance of proper nutrition, physical fitness and mental balance for overall wellbeing. Scientifically, we now know body and mind are intimately connected – by caring for both, we can achieve optimal health.
